Accra:The Amar Ekushey Book Fair-2027 is set to commence on January 7, a Thursday, and will run until February 6, a Saturday.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the details were revealed in a press release signed by Bangla Academy Director General Mohammad Azam. A meeting with representatives from the publishing community was held on October 13 at the Shaheed Munir Chowdhury Conference Room of Bangla Academy to discuss the fair's organization.
Cultural Affairs Minister Nitai Roy Chowdhury presided over the meeting, which also included Adviser to the Ministry of Cultural Affairs Dr. Zahed Ur Rahman and Secretary Yasmin Begum. During the meeting, the publishers' representatives unanimously agreed on the fair's schedule.
