Khulna:BNP Information Affairs Secretary and Khulna-4 lawmaker S K Azizul Bari Helal exchanged greetings with leaders of 76 puja mandap committees in Rupsa upazila this morning. The gathering took place at the upazila auditorium.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the meeting included discussions on measures to ensure peaceful, safe, and festive celebrations of Sharadiya Durga Puja. Helal, speaking as the chief guest, emphasized the importance of maintaining law and order and encouraged all parties to play responsible roles in ensuring the celebrations proceed smoothly and peacefully.
He called for cooperation and communal harmony to allow people of all religions and communities to celebrate their respective festivals without any hindrance. The participants also discussed preparations and overall arrangements for the Hindu community's largest festival.
Special guests at the event included Khulna district BNP Joint Conveners Khan Julfikar Ali Julu and Molla Khairul Islam, Rupsa upazila BNP Convener Molla Saifur Rahman, and Member Secretary Jabed Hossain Mallick. The meeting was presided over by Bikash Mitra, convener of the Rupsa upazila unit of the BNP's Puja Celebration Monitoring Committee.
Following the meeting, Azizul Bari Helal and others released fish fry into several open water bodies.
