Chandpur:More than 100 underprivileged, distressed, and sick individuals in the district received financial assistance today. The Department of Social Services distributed this aid through cheques.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Sheikh Farid Ahmed Manik, MP for Chandpur-3 constituency and president of the district BNP, distributed the cheques to beneficiaries at Munira Bhaban in the district town.
During the event, Sheikh Farid Ahmed Manik encouraged recipients to use the funds for essential needs. He emphasized the importance of supporting underprivileged and distressed individuals in challenging times. He also requested the beneficiaries to pray for Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, acknowledging his concern for the welfare of impoverished and distressed people.
The program was conducted by Sadar Upazila BNP President Shahjalal Mission, with District BNP Vice-President Khalilur Rahman Gazi also addressing the audience. Attendees included District BNP Vice-President Ferdous Alam Babu, Sadar Upazila BNP General Secretary Hazrat Ali Dhali, Pourashava BNP Organising Secretary Sharif Uddin Palash, District Jubo Dal President Manikur Rahman Manik, and Pourashava Mohila Dal General Secretary Nahida Sultana Setu, among others.
