Khulna:Jatiya Sangsad Whip and BNP Central Executive Committee Student Affairs Secretary Rakibul Islam Bakul has alleged that hidden and fascist forces are conspiring to create unrest in the country. He claimed that movements in a neighboring country are being exploited by some to cause trouble locally.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Bakul stated that for 17 years, BNP leaders and activists confronted these forces on the streets and succeeded in bringing down fascism. He emphasized that if necessary, they would unite again to resist these forces. Bakul was speaking as the chief guest at a meeting with BNP leaders in Khulna.

The meeting, organized by Khulna City BNP, aimed to guide party leaders assigned to various temples and puja mandaps across the city to ensure a peaceful and festive celebration of Sharadiya Durga Puja. Bakul urged BNP volunteers to be vigilant in maintaining law and order during the festivities to prevent any exploitation of the occasion for creating chaos.

Bakul also mentioned that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman had introduced a new political trend focused on reviving the country's economy, which he claimed was left in a fragile state by the previous fascist government. He remarked that senior citizens see Rahman's efforts as reminiscent of a new Ziaur Rahman.

During the meeting, Bakul noted that the defeated forces who fled the country are conspiring to obstruct Bangladesh's progress, as they do not want the nation to develop or its people to live in peace.

The meeting was chaired by Khulna City BNP General Secretary and Bangladesh Cricket Board Director Shafiqul Alam Tuhin, with BNP Khulna Divisional Joint Organising Secretary Jayanta Kumar Kundu delivering the introductory speech. Lawmaker Fahmida Haque, former lawmakers Syeda Nargis Ali and Masud Parvez Babu, Fakhrul Alam, Syeda Rehana Isa, and other senior BNP leaders and activists were present. The session was moderated by BNP Organising Secretary Sheikh Sadi.
