Dhaka:The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court has removed the legal barrier hindering the development of the Pearabagh section of Dhaka's elevated expressway, as well as the four-lane railway line located beneath it. This construction had been stalled for seven years.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the order was passed by Appellate Division Judge-in-Chamber Justice Md Rezaul Haque, allowing the continuation of the project without any legal obstructions.

Attorney General Md Ruhul Quddus Kazal confirmed that the court's directive permits the resumption of work on both the elevated expressway and the railway line. Additional Attorneys General Mohammad Arshadur Rouf and Aneek Rushd Haque, along with Deputy Attorney General Mohammad Osman Chowdhury, represented the state during the hearing.
