Khulna:Dhaka Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed has instructed hospital authorities and police to provide the best possible medical care for Police Inspector Md. Shah Alam, who suffered serious injuries in an attack by miscreants in Khulna.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the home minister assured Inspector Alam and his family that those responsible for the attack would be quickly apprehended and subjected to exemplary punishment under the law.

The directives were issued during the minister's visit to Evercare Hospital in Dhaka's Bashundhara Residential Area, where Inspector Alam is receiving treatment. During the visit, the minister engaged with the attending medical team to assess the officer's condition and treatment progress, urging both hospital and police authorities to ensure he receives advanced medical care.

Inspector General of Police Md. Ali Hossain Fakir and leaders from the Bangladesh Police Association accompanied the minister during the hospital visit. The incident occurred when Inspector Alam, serving in the A-Circle of Khulna district, was attacked by three assailants while traveling to the Police Club after a special operation.
