New York:BanglaFact, the fact-checking body of the Press Institute Bangladesh (PIB), has identified four leaders from the activities-banned Awami League's New York metropolitan unit allegedly involved in harassing former interim government Chief Adviser Prof Dr. Muhammad Yunus at John F. Kennedy International Airport.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the identification of these individuals was made through the analysis of video footage and still images of the incident by BanglaFact.
Among the identified individuals is Emdad Chowdhury, who serves as the general secretary of the New York metropolitan Awami League. The incident highlights concerns over the spread of misinformation regarding Bangladesh through social media platforms and Facebook pages, both domestically and internationally.
