Riyadh:Eight flights between Dhaka and Saudi Arabia have been disrupted, impacting 2,951 passengers, following missile and drone attacks that temporarily halted operations at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, civil aviation officials reported that the affected flights included two from Biman Bangladesh Airlines, one from US-Bangla Airlines, three from Saudia Airlines, and two from Riyadh Airways. Passengers were set to travel between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia.

Biman Bangladesh Airlines announced the suspension of its scheduled Dhaka-Riyadh-Dhaka flights, BG339 and BG340, advising passengers not to proceed to the airport and to contact the airline's call center or nearest sales office for assistance.

International media reported that Yemen's Houthis have warned airlines, travelers, and airport workers to avoid Saudi airports following the attack in Riyadh, which resulted in 12 fatalities and over 300 injuries. Saudi Arabia condemned the attack as a 'full-fledged war crime' and promised a firm response, although the Houthis have not claimed responsibility for this latest strike.
