Jakarta:A meeting of the ruling BNP's parliamentary party is set to take place this Sunday evening, chaired by Prime Minister and BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman. The meeting will be held at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban starting from 6 pm, as disclosed by the Prime Minister's Press Wing on Saturday night.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the date for the next session of parliament has not been fixed yet. Despite this, Tarique Rahman, who is also the Leader of the House, has called for a meeting of the party's parliamentary group.
The agenda for the meeting may include discussions on establishing discipline within the party, addressing the law-and-order situation, considering constitutional amendments, and planning for the upcoming local government elections. Typically, such meetings are convened one or two days before the start of a parliamentary session or during the session itself. This meeting, however, has been called before the next parliamentary session's date has been set.
It is anticipated that the next session of parliament may commence in the second week of November.
