Jakarta:Four more people succumbed to dengue as 2,193 individuals were hospitalized within a 24-hour period ending at 800 am on Sunday.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) reported that these additional fatalities have brought the total number of dengue-related deaths in the country to 303 this year.
Among the recent deaths, two occurred in the Khulna division, while Chattogram and Rajshahi divisions each reported one death. Currently, 6,169 dengue patients are receiving treatment in various hospitals nationwide.
Since the beginning of the year, 99,275 dengue patients have been admitted to hospitals, with 92,803 having recovered from the disease.
