Rangamati:The Rangamati district administration has enforced a suspension on tourist visits to Sajek Valley in Baghaichhari upazila.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the administration has instructed tourists currently in Sajek Valley to vacate the area by 5 pm on October 13. This restriction, announced on Sunday, will remain in place until further notice.
The decision follows an indefinite road blockade initiated by the Sajek Public Rights Protection Committee and the Sajek Karbari Association on the Sajek-Dighinala road, which commenced at 6 am on Sunday. The blockade has disrupted vehicular movement, leaving tourists stranded in the area.
In response to the situation, law enforcement agencies have increased their presence to maintain order in Sajek.
Tourists planning to visit Sajek Valley have been advised to avoid traveling to the area until further notice.
