Dhaka:German Ambassador to Bangladesh Dr. Rdiger Lotz discussed the growing vulnerabilities of global economic interdependence during a lecture on diplomacy at the Foreign Service Academy.

According to United News of Bangladesh, Dr. Lotz emphasized that although economic interconnectedness has increased, it has also led to heightened vulnerabilities, as evidenced by current disruptions to energy supplies. He pointed out that a multipolar world does not guarantee multilateral cooperation and stressed the need for dialogue and collaboration to navigate the complex international landscape.

The lecture was part of the 32nd Specialized Diplomatic Training Course and the 4th Professional Master's in International Relations and Diplomacy. The audience included 32 participants, with 26 officers from Bangladesh's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and six diplomats from Botswana, Guyana, Kenya, Nepal, Rwanda, and Tanzania.

Ambassador Dr. Lotz also met with the Rector of the Foreign Service Academy, Ambassador Nahida Sobhan. He described his engagement with the participants as a 'stimulating exchange,' providing fresh perspectives on global affairs and the future of international cooperation.
