Khulna:A total of 228 additional dengue patients have been admitted to hospitals in the Khulna division within the past 24 hours, alongside one new death from the mosquito-borne disease.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the newly hospitalised patients include 171 individuals admitted to government hospitals and 57 to private hospitals. This recent death brings the division's dengue-related fatalities to 61 this year.
Since January 1, the Khulna division has recorded a total of 15,989 dengue infections. Out of these, 14,308 patients have recovered and returned home, while 1,228 are still receiving treatment in various hospitals.
Khulna district has reported the highest number of dengue cases within the division, with 6,165 patients identified. Of these, Khulna Medical College Hospital has reported 3,115 cases.
