Dengue Cases Surge with 1,935 Hospitalisations in 24 Hours

Dhaka:Five individuals have died due to dengue, while 1,935 others were admitted to hospitals in the past 24 hours. These figures were reported by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) and are current until 8:00 am today.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the recent fatalities have raised the death toll from dengue to 294 for this year. The number of newly hospitalised patients includes 790 in Dhaka Division, 93 in Mymensingh Division, 280 in Chattogram Division, 292 in Khulna Division, 206 in Rajshahi Division, 64 in Rangpur Division, 195 in Barishal Division, and 15 in Sylhet Division.

In total, 94,151 dengue patients have been hospitalised across the country this year. Over the past 24 hours, 2,057 patients have successfully recovered and been discharged from hospitals, contributing to a total of 88,208 recoveries so far.

Last year, dengue infected 102,861 individuals and resulted in 413 deaths nationwide.
