British High Commissioner Engages in Talks with Bangladesh Disaster Management Minister

Dhaka:British High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Sarah Cooke, met with Disaster Management and Relief Minister Asadul Habib Dulu at his secretariat office.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the meeting involved discussions on various aspects of the bilateral relations between Bangladesh and the United Kingdom, focusing on issues of mutual interest.

There was an emphasis on further strengthening and diversifying the historic and friendly ties between the two nations. Discussions also included expanding cooperation in areas such as addressing earthquakes and lightning strikes.

The continuation of the UK's support for Bangladesh's economic development and progress was highlighted, along with the potential for further expanding trade and commerce between the countries. Both parties expressed optimism about advancing their historic relationship and exploring new areas of cooperation.

State Minister for Disaster Management and Relief M. Iqbal Hossain and senior ministry officials were also present at the meeting.
