465 Arrested in Dhaka Anti-Crime Operations

Dhaka:In a significant crackdown, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 465 individuals during anti-crime operations across the capital within the last 24 hours.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the arrests were part of the DMP's regular operations aimed at curbing crime in the city. Different police divisions contributed to the arrests, with Ramna Division detaining 21 people, Lalbagh 55, Wari 59, Motijheel 75, Tejgaon 60, Mirpur 114, Gulshan 29, Uttara 42, and the Detective Branch (DB) 10.

The operations also led to the recovery of various illegal items, including one foreign-made pistol, two magazines, eight rounds of ammunition, four knives, one steel cutter, 2,484 yaba tablets, and 2 kilograms 360 grams of cannabis. A total of 73 cases were filed during the period, and further legal action against the arrested individuals is underway.
