Barishal:A cashier from Barishal Government Women's College died after allegedly jumping from the Barishal Chief Judicial Magistrate Court building on Tuesday afternoon.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the deceased was identified as Md Nazmul Haq, 35. He reportedly jumped from the 6th floor of the 10-storey court building around 4:00 pm. Monirul Islam, the officer-in-charge of Kotwali Model Police Station, confirmed these details.
Nazmul was rescued in critical condition and transported to Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital, where he was declared dead by an emergency department physician.
Court Police Inspector Tarak Biswas noted that police officers responded to reports of someone falling from the court building and found Nazmul at the scene. The reasons why Nazmul was at the court building and the circumstances of his fall remain unclear. Police have launched an investigation into the incident, as confirmed by the officer-in-charge.
