Keraniganj:BNP Standing Committee Member and Dhaka-2 lawmaker Md Aman Ullah Aman declared that fascists who flee the country will not be able to return. He made the statement during a special law and order meeting at the Keraniganj Upazila Parishad auditorium, ahead of the Durga Puja celebrations.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the meeting was chaired by Keraniganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Omar Faruk, with Dhaka District BNP Organising Secretary Barrister Irfan Ibn Aman Omi attending as a special guest.

Aman assured that police, Ansar, and SRB personnel would be deployed continuously at each Puja mandap in three eight-hour shifts to ensure security. He emphasized the role of BNP leaders and activists in maintaining security throughout the festivities.

He reiterated the policy that "religion belongs to individuals, the state belongs to all" and asserted that all religious communities have equal security rights. The administration and law enforcement agencies have been directed to protect these rights.

Addressing recent unrests, Aman claimed that "fascists" have attempted to destabilize the country, but stated that peace-loving citizens and the Hindu community thwarted these efforts. He expressed confidence that the Hindu community would celebrate Durga Puja peacefully.

Aman noted there are 87 Puja mandaps in Dhaka-2 and an additional 48 in surrounding areas, and special greeting exchanges with mandap leaders are planned for October 8 and 9. CCTV cameras will be installed where needed, and local journalists are encouraged to monitor the celebrations.

The meeting included officials from police and Ansar, local administration representatives, Puja Udjapan Parishad leaders, and mandap committee heads.
