PM’s Special Assistant Inspects Historical Artifacts at July Museum

Dhaka:Prime Minister's Special Assistant on Environment, Forest, and Climate Change, Dr. Md Saimum Parvez, visited the July Uprising Memorial Museum today. He was welcomed by the museum's Director General, Ehasan Mahamud.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dr. Parvez examined official documents from Ganabhaban and materials detailing the state repression of political parties during an authoritarian regime. He also viewed memorabilia of army officers martyred in the BDR massacre and relics related to other political killings, as well as items concerning enforced disappearances and torture instruments used in secret detention facilities.

Dr. Parvez further explored artifacts illustrating 16 years of misrule, touring the archives, memorial items, and photographic displays of the July Massacre. He highlighted the importance of preserving these historical records to honor those who were killed and injured and to educate future generations about the uprising's history.
