CARE Bangladesh Delegation Meets with President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir

Dhaka:A delegation from CARE Bangladesh met with President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir at Bangabhaban.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the meeting included discussions on CARE Bangladesh's ongoing activities and initiatives. The delegation, led by CARE Bangladesh Senior Strategic Adviser Earl Robert Miller, highlighted the organization's efforts in disaster preparedness, training women in the garment industry, and addressing sectoral issues.

The delegation also discussed their work on agricultural projects, health and nutrition, humanitarian assistance, and job creation for the Rohingya community, with a focus on women's empowerment. They mentioned that CARE Bangladesh operates four vocational training centers across the country to support these initiatives.

President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir recognized the historical significance of CARE Bangladesh and encouraged the organization to continue and expand its efforts in socio-economic development. CARE Bangladesh Country Director Ram Das and other senior officials were present during the meeting.
