Dengue Cases Continue to Surge in Khulna Division with 306 New Hospitalizations

Khulna:Dengue infection continues to spread across Khulna division, with 306 new patients admitted to hospitals in the past 24 hours.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, of the newly admitted patients, 250 were admitted to government hospitals and 56 to private hospitals. One more dengue-related death was reported during the period, raising the total number of deaths from the disease in the division this year to 52.

The report states that a total of 14,761 dengue patients have been reported in Khulna division since January 1 this year. Of them, 13,109 have recovered and returned home, while 1,246 patients are currently undergoing treatment at different hospitals. Additionally, 354 patients have been referred to other places for better treatment.

District-wise data indicates that Khulna district recorded the highest number of dengue cases, with 5,655 patients identified so far. Furthermore, 2,944 dengue patients have been reported at Khulna Medical College Hospital.
