Training Workshop Enhances Village Court Case Management in Rajshahi

Rajshahi:A two-day training workshop aimed at enhancing case management and information preservation for village courts concluded in the city.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the workshop, which commenced on Sunday at the Bangladesh Computer Council conference room, was part of the 'Activating Village Courts in Bangladesh (Third Phase) Project'. It concentrated on various aspects such as case filing, disposal, digital preservation of case information, and updating hearing and case progress, as well as the preparation of different reports.

Participants received practical training on managing information through the Village Court Information Management System. Rajshahi Divisional Commissioner Yusuf Ali, who was the chief guest at the inaugural session, highlighted the vital role village courts play in providing quick and affordable justice.

He emphasized the importance of proper information management to enhance transparency, accountability, and effectiveness in village court operations. Tahlima Khatun, Director of Local Government, Rajshahi Division, presided over the event, with Deputy Director of Local Government, Rajshahi District, Nazrul Islam, attending as a special guest. The programme was conducted by Lutfur Rahman, District Manager of the Village Court Project.
