Bangladesh Police Merit Scholarships Awarded to 72 Students

Khulna:Bangladesh Police Merit Scholarships for the years 2024 and 2025 were awarded to 72 outstanding children of police and non-police members working at Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP).

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the scholarship distribution ceremony took place in the conference room of KMP Headquarters, with KMP Commissioner Md Sazzadur Rahman serving as the chief guest.

Among the awardees, 59 students achieved GPA-5 in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations, and 13 students obtained GPA-5 in the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations, receiving scholarship certificates, commemorative crests, and cash awards.

During the event, Commissioner Rahman expressed his pleasure in awarding the scholarships to the meritorious students. He shared a personal connection, recalling his attendance at a similar event as a parent five years ago. Rahman highlighted the crucial role of parents, especially mothers, in the academic success of their children, acknowledging their sacrifices and dedication.

He emphasized the importance of the support provided by parents with limited resources, which enables their children to achieve success. Rahman congratulated the scholarship recipients and urged them to respect their parents' sacrifices, focus on their studies, and aim to contribute to the welfare of the country and its people in the future.
