Government Initiatives Enhance Children’s Education and Welfare

Lalmonirhat:Disaster Management and Relief Minister Asadul Habib Dulu announced that the government is implementing various initiatives to create an environment favorable for children's education, welfare, safety, and healthy growth.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Minister Dulu emphasized the expansion of opportunities for technical education, improvements in school infrastructure, and the provision of amenities such as free textbooks and uniforms. He discussed these measures during a meeting with primary school headmasters and assistant teachers in Sadar upazila at the District Council premises.

The minister noted significant improvements in school environments and facilities compared to the past when many schools lacked adequate chairs, benches, and infrastructure. He highlighted the critical role of families in children's upbringing, urging guardians to keep children engaged in their studies and away from negative influences.

Minister Dulu underscored the importance of regular attendance by both teachers and students, sharing an observation from a primary school where only 13 students attended despite having several teachers. He called for responsible involvement from teachers and guardians to ensure consistent student attendance.

Looking ahead, the minister stated that technical education would receive more focus in the coming year to equip students with job-oriented skills beneficial for their future careers. Teachers and local journalists from various primary schools in Sadar upazila attended the event.
