154 Arrested in Rajshahi Police Operations

Rajshahi:Over the past 24 hours, the Rajshahi Range Police have arrested 154 individuals and seized a large quantity of drugs during operations conducted across various districts within the range.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the police filed 120 cases during this period. These include three cases related to murder, one each for dacoity, theft, and violence against women and children, with the remaining 114 cases filed under other charges. Additionally, police recorded information on eight unnatural deaths.

Among those arrested, 36 were wanted in warrant cases, four were convicted individuals, 109 were accused in ongoing investigations, and five were detained under other preventive measures. Notably, 56 of the arrested individuals were identified as drug dealers or users.

Police conducted a total of 145 operations, which led to the recovery of 40 grams of heroin, 1,192 Yaba tablets, 518 Tapentadol tablets, 1.41 kilograms of cannabis, and 360 liters of distilled liquor. During the same period, the Rajshahi Range Police also provided direct services to 1,047 people.
