Dhaka:According to United News of Bangladesh, the Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) has requested detailed information on the bank accounts of content creator Salman Muqtadir. Letters were dispatched to all banks and financial institutions on Wednesday seeking this data.

Officials from several banks confirmed the receipt of the BFIU's letter, which demanded comprehensive details on accounts in Salman Muqtadir's name. The requested information includes account opening forms, Know Your Customer (KYC) documents, transaction statements, and other pertinent records. The institutions were asked to provide the data to the BFIU within a half-hour timeframe.

The reason behind the request for Muqtadir's bank account details was not specified in the BFIU's letter. This development follows recent incidents of attack, vandalism, and looting at his Brown Fish Studio, located at New Guinea Properties in the capital's ECB Chattar area. The attack on Saturday night resulted in significant damage to the studio.

There were also allegations of attack and vandalism at the office of New Guinea Properties and nearby buildings. Saiful Islam Bhuiyan, the director of New Guinea Properties, filed a case with Cantonment Police Station concerning the incident, citing trespass, vandalism, looting, and theft. Police and the Detective Branch (DB) have arrested several individuals in connection with the incident.
