Gaibandha:A woman was arrested by the Special Response Battalion (SRB)-13 with 137 pieces of Yaba tablets in the Miyan Mansion Market area under Sadar Police Station in Gaibandha district on Saturday afternoon.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the detainee, identified as Zainab Bibi, 55, is the wife of the late Nurul Islam from the village of Baigram under Hakimpur police station in Dinajpur district.
Acting on a tip-off, a team from SRB-13's Gaibandha Camp apprehended Zainab Bibi after conducting a search in the Miyan Mansion Market area at 12:20 pm.
Following her arrest, a case was filed under the Narcotics Control Act, 2018. The seized narcotics and Zainab Bibi were subsequently handed over to Gaibandha Sadar police station.
