Dhaka: Five relatives of United Kingdom (UK)-based expatriates have been awarded for receiving the highest amount of remittances sent directly to their bKash accounts through 'Taptap Send' from the UK. The winners received their prizes at a ceremony held at the bKash head office.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the top remittance recipient was awarded a motorcycle coupon valued at Tk 180,000. The subsequent winners were granted electronic device coupons valued at Tk 50,000, Tk 30,000, Tk 25,000, and Tk 15,000, respectively.
The winners were chosen based on the remittance amounts they received from UK-based relatives between August 1 and 31, 2026. The campaign aimed to encourage expatriates to send remittances-a vital component of the country's economy-through safe, convenient, and legal channels.
