Natore: Different species of fish fry, weighing 25 kilograms, were released into the lakes of DC Park and Stadium Park in the district headquarters today. Additional Divisional Commissioner of Rajshahi Dr. Chitralekha Nazneen released the fish fry into the two water bodies this afternoon.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Deputy Commissioner Sumoni Akhter and Deputy Director of the Local Government Division Md Shamim Hossain, among others, were present on the occasion. District Fisheries Officer Md Omar Ali stated that around two tonnes of fish fry have been released in institutional and open water bodies in the district's seven upazilas.
The fish fry were released this year under the government's revenue budget, he added.
