He made the remarks while chairing a review meeting on the draft policy for forming an international-standard national orchestra at the conference room of the Ministry of Culture today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the review meeting on the 'Draft Policy on National Orchestra' was held with the aim of developing an international-standard orchestra in Bangladesh's cultural arena, creating professional orchestra musicians, and enhancing institutional capacity. Culture Affairs State Minister Ali Newaz Mahmud Khaiyam and Culture Secretary Yasmin Begum were present at the meeting.
Among others, high-level representatives of the orchestra teams of Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Navy, and Bangladesh Air Force, Bangladesh Police, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Force, and Fire Service and Civil Defence participated in the meeting. The meeting discussed the organizational structure of the national orchestra, selection of musicians, training arrangements, skill development to international standards, performance guidelines, and coordinated participation of the relevant institutions. The participating representatives provided constructive opinions and recommendations on various aspects of the draft policy.
