Armour-Cavalry Subject Matter Expert Exchange Concludes in Bogura

Dhaka: The four-day Armour-Cavalry Subject Matter Expert Exchange (SMEE) between the Bangladesh Army and the US Oregon National Guard concluded today at Bogura Cantonment. The closing and certificate distribution ceremony was held at the Armoured Corps Centre and School, according to an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Directorate press release tonight.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Commandant of the Armoured Corps Centre and School Brigadier General Hasnat Ahmed attended the ceremony as the chief guest and distributed certificates among the participants. The exchange, which began on September 13, brought together a five-member delegation from the US Oregon National Guard, 25 personnel from the Bangladesh Army's Armoured Corps Centre and School, and nine personnel from Headquarters 11 Infantry Division.

During the exchange, participants shared knowledge, experiences, and expertise on the application of armour-cavalry tactics in various combat operations and operational situations. Members of the Oregon National Guard also shared their practical experience in applying theoretical armour-cavalry tactics in different operational scenarios.

Members of the US delegation, participating trainees, and personnel of various ranks from the Armoured Corps Centre and School and 11 Infantry Division attended the concluding ceremony, the release added.
