Dhaka: Danish Ambassador to Bangladesh Christian Brix Moller today conveyed Denmark's interest in enhancing cooperation with Bangladesh in the health sector. He expressed this interest during a meeting with State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Dr M A Muhit at the latter's office at the Secretariat.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the state minister discussed Bangladesh's plans to develop an efficient e-health system. He expressed interest in leveraging Denmark's experience in developing and managing e-health systems to improve Bangladesh's health infrastructure.
In response, the Danish ambassador highlighted three key areas for potential collaboration. These areas include improving the treatment and management of diabetes, enhancing rehabilitation services for victims of abuse, and strengthening the national food safety institution. Notably, cooperation to combat antimicrobial resistance (AMR) was identified as a crucial aspect of strengthening the food safety institution.
