22-Case Accused Saddam Arrested in Khulna

Khulna: Police have arrested Saddam alias Marua Saddam, 36, an alleged drug trader and accused in 22 cases, from the Moylapota area of Khulna city. A team from Khalishpur Police Station executed the arrest at approximately 12:20 am on Tuesday following a tip-off regarding his location.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Saddam, the son of Md Selim, resides in the Nayabati area under Khalishpur Police Station. The Officer-in-Charge of Khalishpur Police Station, Shahjahan Ahmed, confirmed the arrest, stating that Saddam is a known drug trader in the Nayabati area. He is implicated in 22 cases involving charges such as robbery, assault, and sabotage. He had been evading capture as law enforcement sought him.

Saddam has been sent to jail through a court on the same day of his arrest.
