Rajshahi: Rajshahi University (RU) is participating in the Bangladesh Innovation Fair 2026 with 16 innovations. The three-day fair, which began at the Novotheatre in Agargaon, Dhaka, on Saturday, was inaugurated by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, six research laboratories of RU are participating in the fair with 16 innovations. Vice-Chancellor Professor Md. Faridul Islam was present at the inaugural ceremony and is leading the RU teams. The RU teams participating in the fair include the Molecular Pharmacology Laboratory of the Department of Pharmacy, led by Professor Mamunur Rashid and Professor AHM Khurshid Alam, and the MBPSL i-Hub of the Department of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, led by Professor Md. Abu Reza.
The Plasma Engineering Laboratory of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, led by Professor Mamunur Rashid Talukder, and the 3D Printing Laboratory of the Department of Information and Communication Engineering, led by Professor Hasnat Kabir, are also participating. The Plant Molecular Biotechnology Laboratory of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, led by Professor Anwar Hossain, and the Pharmaceutical and Protein Chemistry Laboratory of the Department of Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, led by Professor Mohammad Taufiq Alam, are also taking part.
Today, the Secretary of the Ministry of Science and Technology, along with other senior officials, visited the RU stalls.
