According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the President emphasized the importance of local government as the biggest strength of democracy and urged district administrators to actively work towards eradicating the corruption left behind by the fascist era. During the meeting, district council administrators presented various demands, including raising their status.
The President assured them of cooperation to resolve these issues, stating that the government is a people's government and will take quick steps in this regard. Fakhrul Islam highlighted the government's commitment to strengthening the local government system to achieve decentralization of power.
The President also acknowledged the crucial role of district council administrators in restoring democracy and their participation in the long-standing movement against fascism. He urged them to bring dynamism to development activities, ensure local-level citizen services, and maintain administrative transparency.
