RAB Recovers Abandoned Bullets, Cartridges in Rangpur

Rangpur: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 has recovered 17 rounds of abandoned bullets and cartridges from the bank of a pond in Rashidpur village under Mithapukur police station of the district early this morning. On a tip-off, a team from RAB-13's Crime Prevention Specialised Company (CPSC) conducted a raid in the area and found the ammunition in an abandoned state at 1:40 am.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the recovered ammunition includes eight rounds of lead-ball shotgun cartridges, eight rounds of rubber shotgun cartridges, and one round of live 7.62mm rifle ammunition. A RAB-13 press release confirmed the details of the recovered items.

The recovered bullets and cartridges were subsequently handed over to Mithapukur police station. This action was based on a general diary (GD) filed today, which will guide further legal proceedings.
