Dhaka: Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today forecast rain in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing from 9 am. According to a Met office bulletin issued this morning, "Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Khulna and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Barishal and Chattogram divisions."
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, moderately heavy to heavy rainfall may also occur at places over the country, as mentioned in the bulletin. Day and night temperatures may fall slightly across the country. The highest temperature of 35.6 degrees Celsius was recorded at Rajarhat on Friday, while today's minimum temperature was 22 degrees Celsius at Sylhet.
In the last 24 hours till 6 am today, the highest rainfall of 142 millimetres was recorded at Sylhet. Meanwhile, residents of Dhaka can expect the sun to set at 6:06 pm today and rise at 5:44 am tomorrow.
