Mongla: The Bangali Foundation, Dhaka today distributed one kilogram of beef each among 1,400 helpless and distressed families in Mongla upazila of Bagerhat. The meat was distributed at the Aliya Madrasa ground in Mongla municipality in the afternoon. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Supreme Court Advocate Mohammad Moniruzzaman, who serves as the chief adviser to the organisation, was the chief guest at the programme. He personally handed over the meat to the beneficiaries in the presence of representatives from the Bangali Foundation. During the event, Moniruzzaman stated that 15 cows were slaughtered to distribute their meat among the needy families. He emphasized the importance of supporting underprivileged and helpless individuals in society. Moniruzzaman encouraged capable individuals to contribute from their positions to foster a more equitable society. He also expressed his dedication to continuing such social welfare activities in the future. The organisers highlighted that the initiative was designed to help poor families meet their protein needs amid rising prices of essential commodities while sharing festive joy with them. The beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the organisers after receiving the meat.
