RAB Seizes Hundreds of Smuggled Syrup Bottles in Lalmonirhat

Lalmonirhat: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 seized 398 abandoned bottles of smuggled Phensedyl-like ESKuf and Fairdyl syrup and arrested two persons from Karnapur village under Sadar police station in Lalmonirhat on Wednesday afternoon. Acting on a tip-off, a team from RAB-13's Crime Prevention Specialized Company (CPSC) from Rangpur conducted a raid in a house of the village at 4:40 pm and seized 298 bottles of ESKuf and 100 bottles of Fairdyl syrup, said a press release.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the arrestees are Md Raju Ahmed, 25, son of Md Aptar Ali, and Shahjada Islam alias Shaon, 37, son of Ekramul Haque, both from Karnapur village under Sadar police station in Lalmonirhat. After filing a case under the Narcotics Control Act, 2018 in this incident, the elite force handed over the arrested persons and seized drugs to Sadar police station of Lalmonirhat for further legal action.
