Dhaka: A 15-member delegation from the National Defence College (NDC), New Delhi, visited Bangladesh as part of their "Strategic Neighbourhood Study Tour." They began their tour by visiting key military establishments, including the Naval Headquarters, Army Headquarters, Armed Forces Division, and the National Defence College in Mirpur, shortly after their arrival in Dhaka on August 30.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the delegation, which included officers from the Indian Armed Forces, Civil Services, and members of Armed Forces from friendly foreign countries, was hosted by the Bangladesh Navy for a dinner at BNS Dhaka. This was part of their first day's itinerary, as shared by the Indian High Commission in Dhaka on Thursday.
On the second day, the delegation expanded their visits to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Bangladesh Military Museum, and the Air Headquarters. Continuing their exploration of Bangladesh's military and strategic landscape, the delegation proceeded to the BAF Base in Cox's Bazar on the third day.
Throughout these visits, the Defence Advisor and the Head of Delegation engaged with senior leaders of the Bangladesh Armed Forces, facilitating discussions on topics such as defence cooperation. The High Commission noted that these interactions have reinforced the longstanding bond and camaraderie between the Armed Forces of India and Bangladesh.
The study tour provided the delegation with insights into Bangladesh's security challenges and strategic priorities. These experiences are expected to further strengthen the friendship and cooperation between the two neighboring countries.
