Bagerhat: Two brothers were killed in a lightning strike while working in a paddy field at Shaulokhali village under Morelganj upazila of the district today. The deceased were Bidhan Bachhar, 55, and Manik Bachhar, 40, sons of Manoranjan Bachhar of Shaulokhali village under Hoglapasha union of the upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, they were struck by lightning around 11.30 am while working in a paddy field near their home. They died on the spot. Morelganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Shahidullah confirmed the incident.
