Rangunia: The Department of Environment has ordered the closure of 17 unauthorized brick kilns in Rangunia upazila. An operation led by Md. Mozahidur Rahman, Deputy Director of the Department of Environment, Chattogram District Office, resulted in the decision to shut down the brick kilns operating without environmental clearance.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the environment department has issued notices to the illegal facilities to cease operations immediately. Mozahidur Rahman stated that failure to comply with the order would lead to legal actions being taken against the owners of the unauthorized kilns.
