The deceased were identified as Limon Mia, son of Nazrul Islam of Panchgachhi village, and Rubel Mia, son of Shaheen Mia of Chandpara, in the upazila.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the accident occurred around 9:00am at Shialgara on the Dinajpur-Gobindaganj regional highway. Witnesses reported that the two motorcycles collided while the riders were attempting to overtake each other at high speed and lost control. Both riders sustained serious injuries in the accident.
They were initially taken to Gobindaganj Upazila Health Complex, where they received primary treatment before being referred to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital in Bogura. Both died while undergoing treatment there, said Sub-Inspector Mashiur Rahman of Gobindaganj Police Station.
