Dhaka: The Motijheel Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 45 individuals in separate anti-crime operations conducted over the last 24 hours.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, DMP's media and public relations division issued a press release today detailing the arrests, which were made during raids executed on August 28 across various areas under the division. The operations are part of an ongoing campaign by the DMP to uphold law and order and curb crime in the city.
The press release specified that among those arrested, the Motijheel Police Station apprehended four individuals, Paltan Police Station detained nine, Sabujbagh Police Station arrested three, Khilgaon Police Station captured 18, Rampura Police Station held three, and Mugda Police Station seized eight suspects. However, Shahjahanpur Police Station reported no arrests during this operation.
Legal proceedings have been initiated against the arrested suspects, as stated by the police.
