Rajshahi: Professor Mamun Ahmed, Chairman of the Bangladesh University Grants Commission (UGC), made a visit to the University of Rajshahi (RU) to inspect numerous laboratories and ongoing infrastructure development projects.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Professor Ahmed's visit included a thorough evaluation of the Plasma Research Lab within the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. He also reviewed several specialized laboratories in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, as well as the laboratory within the Department of Fisheries. The Chairman discussed the UGC's plans to modernize existing laboratories, establish new specialized facilities, and enhance infrastructure development at the university.
Accompanying Professor Ahmed during the inspection were RU Vice-Chancellor Professor Faridul Islam, Pro-Vice-Chancellors Professor Abdul Alim and Professor Mamunur Rashid, as well as Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Kishoreganj University Professor Shafiur Rahman, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Naogaon University Professor Tarikul Islam, Proctor Professor Mahbubur Rahman, along with faculty members and department chairpersons from the respective laboratories.
