Nilphamari: Association of Engineers Bangladesh (AEB) Convener Engineer Shahrin Islam Tuhin today announced that the country's development and rebuilding efforts have officially commenced under the leadership of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman. "Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has begun the work of rebuilding the country. Nilphamari will not lag behind in this process," Tuhin stated during a views-exchange meeting with local businesspeople at the conference room of the Nilphamari Chamber of Commerce and Industry this afternoon.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Tuhin, serving as the chief guest, articulated his dedication to fostering trade and commerce in Nilphamari. He emphasized the importance of expanding educational opportunities within the district, highlighting a pressing issue where many students are unable to gain admission to universities and medical colleges due to the lack of quality educational institutions. Tuhin assured that efforts are underway to establish institutions that would enhance the district's educational landscape.
The meeting, presided over by Nilphamari Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Md Mahbub Ur Rahman, was attended by various business leaders and entrepreneurs across different sectors. This gathering underscored the collaborative efforts between the government and local businesses in driving the district's progress.
In conjunction with the meeting, Tuhin participated in a scholarship distribution program at the Circuit House auditorium organized by the District Council. Presided over by District Council Administrator Md Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury, the event saw the awarding of scholarships to 80 underprivileged yet meritorious students. It was announced that the District Council plans to provide scholarships to a total of 338 students who achieved GPA-5 in this year's SSC examinations. The scholarship cheques were distributed to the first batch of 80 students during the program.
