Dhaka: The chiefs of the three services paid a courtesy call on President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir at Bangabhaban on Tuesday. Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Khondkar Misbah ul Azim, and Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan met the President in the afternoon to extend their congratulations on his assumption of office and to convey their best wishes.
According to United News of Bangladesh, during the meeting, the chiefs briefed President Mirza Fakhrul on the activities of their respective services. They sought his guidance and cooperation as the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces in carrying out their duties effectively.
President Mirza Fakhrul expressed his satisfaction with the current activities of the Armed Forces. He highlighted that the government is committed to transforming the Armed Forces into a modern and versatile entity. The President assured the three service chiefs of his continued support to enhance the professional skills of Armed Forces personnel and to facilitate the overall development of the Armed Forces during his tenure.
