Rajshahi: A day-long workshop titled ‘IEEE AP-S PULSE 1.0’ was held today at Rajshahi University (RU). The event was organized by the Department of Information and Communication Engineering (ICE) of the university, in a joint initiative with the IEEE AP-S-MTT-S Bangladesh Joint Chapter of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the IEEE AP-S Rajshahi University Student Branch.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the workshop commenced at 9 am in the Engineering Faculty Gallery and was inaugurated by special guest Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Mamunur Rashid. Attendees also included IEEE Fellow and Distinguished Professor of the University of Technology Sydney, Karu Esselle, as another special guest.
The convener of the workshop, Dr. Foyez Ahmed, and the Director of the ICT Center, Professor Md. Hasnat Kabir, addressed the participants during the event. Following the inaugural ceremony, special lectures were delivered by Professor Karu Esselle and Professor Atif Shamim during the academic session.
