Gazipur: Within 24 hours of filing the murder case for killing a man over a family dispute in Nilphamari, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested three accused from the Delta Mour area under Kashimpur Police Station in Gazipur on Tuesday afternoon.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the arrested individuals are Shyamol Roy, 45, his wife Babita Rani Roy, 42, and his son Akash Roy, 22, from Dakshin Bahagili Sanyasipara (Ghaterpar) village under Kishoreganj Police Station of Nilphamari. A press release issued this afternoon confirmed these details.
Earlier, miscreants attacked the house of the victim, Sushil alias Shial Gir, 55, in the same village, mercilessly beating the residents and critically injuring Shial Gir at 11 pm on August 7, 2026. He was first taken to the Kishoreganj Upazila Health Complex on the same day, where the doctor on duty referred him to Rangpur Medical College and Hospital (RpMCH) for better treatment. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries and died at 3.39 pm on August 16, 2026, while undergoing treatment at RpMCH.
Following his death, the victim’s son, Kajal Gir, 26, filed a murder case against eight people with Kishoreganj Police Station in Nilphamari district on August 16, 2026. Acting on a tip-off, a joint team of RAB-13 from Nilphamari Camp and RAB-1 from Porabari Camp in Gazipur district conducted a raid and arrested the three suspected killers from the Delta Mour area under Kashimpur Police Station in Gazipur at 4.45 pm on Tuesday.
The arrested individuals have been handed over to the Kishoreganj Police Station for further legal action.
