31 Arrested in Dhaka During Special Police Operation

Jatrabari: Jatrabari, Lalbagh and Mugda police of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 31 people involved in various criminal activities during a special operation conducted across the three police station areas of the city on Monday.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, DMP's media and public relations division issued a press release today stating that the arrests were made during raids carried out on August 17 in different areas. The release detailed that the individuals were apprehended in connection with regular criminal cases, outstanding arrest warrants, and other criminal activities.

The DMP reported that the Jatrabari Police Station conducted a special drive in several crime-prone areas, resulting in the arrest of 15 individuals for their alleged involvement in various criminal activities. Lalbagh Police arrested seven people from similar areas, while Mugda police conducted a comparable operation, detaining nine individuals.

Police took legal actions against the suspects before presenting them in court, according to the police statement.
